David Mahler has been an entrepreneur since he was 16, when he became the youngest Licensed Captain in the New York area and began a charter fishing business. He studied at Hofstra University, specializing in marine science and technology.

Immediately out of college, David was recruited by I.T. &T. ™, which was the world's largest company at the time. The young executive training program in telecommunications provided him with valuable contacts and experience with large scale voice and data technologies and enterprise level construction projects.

VeryBadContractor.com was founded by David Mahler, a serial entrepreneur with a strong background in the construction and technology industries.

Our Founder

David eventually left I.T. & T. to launch several of his own businesses, including Koncepts Communications Corporation, a $25 Million dollar network solutions provider and then, T.C.S Wireless Group, a $6 Million dollar wireless technology organization offering cutting edge wireless solutions. Both companies were eventually sold to major players in the field.

More recently, David resurrected the Koncepts name to found Koncepts Construction Company, with the goal of helping people rebuild and repair after Hurricane Sandy and other similar situations.

The company offers a broad spectrum of consulting services, including design-and-build services, as well as sales and marketing for brick-and-mortar businesses and online systems.
